Many of Lanzarote's restaurants, in addition to offering quality fish, seafood and rice dishes thanks to their deep-rooted seafaring tradition, also offer sea views on the front line, a picture that even improves during sunset.

However, deciding on one restaurant or another can be a complicated task, as the options are very wide. That's why we recommend 5 restaurants with sea views in Lanzarote, according to the experiences of the editors of La Voz de Lanzarote. The offer on the island is wide and of quality. We may have missed some others, but these are the ones selected among those we have had the opportunity to experience.

1. El Amanecer, in Arrieta

If you are in the north of the island, a key place to try quality and abundant food with unbeatable views is the El Amanecer restaurant, in Arrieta.

It is a traditional place where seafood and fish predominate, such as grouper, wreckfish or seabream, but it also has meats and famous typical dishes, such as fried cheese or wrinkled potatoes with mojo.

They do not take reservations and it tends to be very crowded, so it is recommended to go early, between 12:30 and 13:00 and try some starters to whet your appetite.

From its terrace on the seafront you can see the famous Chinese House of the town and, if you feel like sightseeing, you can always visit Los Jameos del Agua or the Cueva de los Verdes, two of the most visited enclaves in Lanzarote.

2. Las Dunas, in Famara

On the west coast, there is also a restaurant that stands out for its sea views, but also for being located under an imposing cliff. The Dunas de Famara restaurant, located in the surfer town of Famara, is hidden among the dunes that surround the famous golden beach.

Recommended by the Repsol Guide 2022, this establishment offers quality gastronomy, with modern elaborations made with local and seasonal products, with all kinds of fish and meats. The average price is about 35 euros per person.

It should be noted that this restaurant is located within a Marine Reserve and at the same time Natural Park, where the Risco de Famara is tinged with reddish colors at sunset, a movie-like picture worth seeing.

In addition, you can always take the opportunity to take a dip in the beach or even take a walk along its six kilometers of sand, while watching the surfers catch waves. Of course, it is important to keep in mind that it is a very windy place, so it is recommended to check the weather before to avoid being impregnated with sand.

3. Salmarina, in Playa Quemada

Further south, in Playa Quemada, there is a cozy traditional restaurant, but very innovative at the same time, called Salmarina, the first of the chain's restaurants, open since 2008.

Its menu is focused on fresh fish and seafood, but also has high quality rice dishes and meats, dishes that you can taste from its terrace overlooking the sea, especially an area of marine cages, which houses a lot of fauna.

Then you can take the opportunity to go to the black sand beach of La Arena or del Pozo walking, two secluded coves located a few meters from the fishing village where you can cool off with a good swim.

4. Costa Azul, in El Golfo

The Costa Azul Casa Tato restaurant, by Tato Santana, located in the fishing village of El Golfo, is a perfect place to eat if you are visiting the south of Lanzarote. This gastronomic corner has sea views, from where you can see the waves crashing against the rocks while trying very tasty dishes.

Fish and seafood predominate, such as homemade fried octopus, a good seafood paella or broth with scarlet shrimp for a price of about 35 euros per person. In addition, it is an ideal place to extend the after-dinner and thus be able to see the sun set on the horizon.

Taking advantage of the fact that you are in the village you can visit the El Golfo viewpoint, one of the most touristy, but also most original, points, as it seems taken from the planet Mars, due to its reddish rocks, which contrast with a black sand beach where the waves crash strongly on the shore.

Once at the top of the viewpoint, you can also observe the famous Charco de los Clicos, better known as "Lago Verde", a name it receives for its greenish color caused by the type of algae found inside.

5. Brisa Marina, in Playa Blanca

At the southernmost point of the island, on the Avenida Marítima of Playa Blanca, you will find a restaurant with a very representative name, Brisa Marina, by Juan el Majorero.

It is a restaurant of international, national and local cuisine founded in 1987 in an old fishermen's house. From its terrace you can enjoy stunning views of the ocean, which improve at sunset, while trying its dishes with fresh products, which mix the sea and the land.

You can taste from sardines, to vegetable paella or even a hamburger with french fries, there is something for everyone.

After eating you can take a jump to the beaches of Papagayo, known as the best beaches of Lanzarote, thanks to its turquoise waters and golden sand, or you can also visit Los Charcones, a set of natural pools of different sizes, shapes and depths, where the sea water is filtered.
