El Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote signed a historic night at the Municipal Pavilion of San Bartolomé after defeating C.BM. Morvedre 25-22, certifying their permanence in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola. A triumph that culminates a brilliant play down, with five victories in six games, and which marks the first time the club has managed to stay in the top category for two consecutive seasons.

The Lanzarote team came out determined from the first moment, with an impeccable performance. Five attacks, five goals, to mark their territory from the start (5-2, min. 5) and ignite a crowd that cheered as in the big matches.

Morvedre, already safe, did not give up and responded with intensity, cutting the deficit to just one goal (8-7, min. 13) and managing to equalize shortly after. The exchange of blows continued until the visitors managed to take the lead for the first time (10-11, min. 23), forcing Zonzamas to call a timeout.

The "batateras" reacted, equalized the game again, and remained firm in a period of maximum equality that took the game to halftime with a tight 13-14.

After the restart, Morvedre struck first, extending their lead to 13-17 in the 36th minute. It was the most delicate moment, but this team has shown throughout the play down that it knows how to bounce back. Zonzamas began to grow from defense, regaining their rhythm and cutting the deficit with patience and hard work.

A counter-attack by Marie Louis brought the team closer (17-19, min. 42), and from then on the dynamic changed. Defensive intensity increased, the crowd cheered louder, and the team believed. The equalizer came from Brenda Roger (19-19, min. 48) and shortly after Claudia Kaulback gave the lead back to the home team (20-19, min. 50).

In the final stretch, the figure of Alicia Robles emerged, key under the posts, to sustain the team in the most demanding moments. With confidence, character, and a completely devoted crowd, Zonzamas delivered final minutes of enormous competitive maturity.

The definitive 25-22 unleashed euphoria in San Bartolomé and capped a historic comeback. From last place at the start of the play down, with only two points, to achieving permanence depending on themselves and with an almost impeccable performance.

A night to remember. A permanence that feels like an achievement.
