Yeray Lemes wins the XLV Haría Hill Climb

Second place for another Lanzarote driver, Toñín Suárez with another Porsche 911. And the regional duel was won by Angel Bello with the Audi R8, third on the podium

As expected from the times achieved in past Haría Hill Climbs, Lanzarote native Yeray Lemes asserted his status as favorite and once again imposed his Porsche 911 GT3 on the longest ramp, with its 8.5 km, of the Canary Islands Mountain Championship. Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, marking his second victory in the Haría Hill Climb in its 45 contested editions.

The driver under the colors of Auto-Laca Competición slightly lowered his time from the past edition, matching his mark in the two official heats, leaving a best record of 4.28.385 for this year (4.29.6 in 2023). The driver from Tao leaves with another absolute triumph in his record for the regional event with the Villa de Adeje Rally next week.

Also, once again, the fastest Lanzarote drivers have been a notch above in speed compared to the CCM drivers, as Toñín Suárez with another Porsche 911 climbed to the second step of the Haría podium, marking a time of 4.33.499. On this occasion, the duel for the regional title was won by Tenerife's Angel Bello with the Audi R8 LMS, who climbed onto the Haría podium and surpassed José Manuel González from La Gomera with the Porsche 991.1 by more than four seconds, finishing fourth overall. Their respective best times were 4.36.8 and 4.41.0.

The fifth position was taken by another Lanzarote driver, Álvaro Caballero with his BMW M3, who by almost the minimum margin surpassed his countryman Oscar Curbelo with a Renault Megane, sixth overall. Alfredo Guerra (Peugeot 308 Rally4), Jonás Rodríguez (Renault Clio Cup), Nuhazeth de León (R-5 GT Turbo), and Roberto Hernández (Peugeot 308 Rally4) completed the group of the top ten places in the final classification. 43 drivers managed to classify in the race, which was attended by the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, during the race and at the final trophy presentation in the Haría square.
