Yeray Lemes and Aitor Cambeiro left no stone unturned that might worry them in their firm lead from Friday night, where they took the lead and continued that way through all four stages this Saturday of the V Rallysprint Yaiza 2025, setting a pace with their Porsche 911 GT3 that their rivals couldn't match, beating their own times, marking all the scratch times, and securing another relentless victory, their third in Yaiza, which concludes their 2025 season.
Last night they went to sleep with the peace of mind of being the leaders for another year, dominating the two stages of the cold, almost wintery night and continuing to set the best times with authority on Saturday. A "ten" rallysprint for them, and incidentally celebrating the Lanzarote Championship as virtual winners, which is added to the Provincial Bp de Rallys de Las Palmas and awaiting the resolution of the Regional de Rallys
Their most direct rivals were, at all times, Toñín Suárez-Jorge Cedrés with the second Porsche 911 GT3, who continued to improve their times during the daytime part of the rallysprint, always setting the second-best times right behind Lemes, achieving a well-deserved second place overall on the final podium.
The provisional podium was completed in third position by Alvaro Caballero-Noé González in their debut with a Citroen C3 Rally2, which they drove for the first time and continued to set very reasonable times, making few errors despite losing the third step of the podium, which they quickly regained from Juan Carlos de la Cruz-Edu González, who were elated in their return with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, until a breakdown in TC5 left them disappointed after greatly livening up the fight for third placeÓscar and Nerea Cabrera held their place in fourth position with the Citroen C3 Rally 2, after moving up four spots due to the incident they had during the night. For them, it was also the trophy for category 1.
Julián Arrocha and Laura Rosa also improved as the race progressed and finished in a meritorious fifth position with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, just five seconds ahead of the sixth-place finishers and winners of category 2, Yoday and Daniela Betancort, with their Peugeot 208 Rally4, in another very good performance that has undoubtedly elevated them in Canarian motorsport. Their real battle was with the other Rally4 team, after Daniel Pérez's retirement, which was none other than Javier Cañada-Miguel Ortiz, who classified sixth by just over four seconds in their Opel Corsa.
Óscar Curbelo and Tania Hernández took their Renault Megane to eighth place, followed by Yacorá Betancort-Orlando Curbelo with the BMW M3, winners of the Power Cup M Trophy and group F. Cristo Pérez-Yaicom Marrero with another Megane Coupé closed the "top" group of the top 10 overall.
Returning to the categories, category 3 was won by **José Javier and Daniel Pérez** with their inseparable Opel Corsa OPC N3. **Jonás Rodríguez-Diego Cabrera** took the Pre-92 group with their Opel Corsa GSi.Only 26 of the 38 teams that started managed to be in the final classification of the event, which culminated with the trophy ceremony in the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca, after two very lively days of motorsport in the municipality in southern Lanzarote and its 8.6 km "Las Casitas-Femés-Las Breñas" stage, which was well-attended by the public and ran as planned.A perfect closing for the season in Lanzarote and the end of the Canary Islands and Las Palmas rallysprint championships, whose leaders and contenders were out of luck in Yaiza. Edgar Camacho is the virtual regional CCRS champion and Adián Andrés Pérez, who was leading the Provincial championship, remains so and is now the virtual final champion. On the other hand, Víctor García-Samuel Tejera made the most of it and with their Hyundai Getz took the Promotion title in the Las Palmas rallysprint Championship
