The Citroen C3 Rally2 team managed to repeat their triumph in the 46th Orvecame-Isla de Lanzarote Rally and Ciudad de Arrecife Trophy, always maintaining the lead from the first of the eight timed sections. Always by very short differences, they controlled the situation in their home rally, which on this occasion has been complicated to the maximum by the great competition they have had in this edition, since they only won three sections of the total. In the end, they sang the praises again to add the 12+1 victory in this first round of the Canary Islands-CCRA Championship and the BP Championship of Las Palmas, signing an unbeatable record at home.

A triumph that the Enrique Cruz-Yeray Mujica team aspired to with great solvency, who have had a great debut with the new Toyota Yaris GR, with several scratches - including the two from the long section of El Mojón-Los Valles-Haría -, finishing in second place just 3.4 behind the winners. Without a doubt, a promising debut for the rest of the championship in the Canary Islands.

The podium was completed by the Russians Alexey Lukyanuk-Yuri Kulikov, who also won in some sections and were at times at a very high pace with the Hyundai i20 N, which led to some errors in the chicanes that turned into small penalties of 5 seconds. A third place they surprisingly climbed to in the last section, where the young Lanzarote native Raúl Hernández with José Murado as co-driver were, until the Skoda Fabia RS suffered a double puncture and arrived at the finish line on rims. A shame after the great performance he had made against the rest of the competition with Rally2 cars, since they did not even classify as they did not reach the last time control.

The rain appeared timidly in this final part of the rally, but there was no need to take out the rain tires that almost all the favorites carried in the trunk.

Already on another level, but equally commendable, Toñín Suárez-Jorge Cedrés climbed to fourth place with the Porsche 911 GT3, despite the seconds lost due to a puncture in the morning.

Fifth in their debut with the Hyundai i20 N were Fernando Cruz-Juan Ricardo Luis, in this rally so complicated to start in Rally2, followed by Oscar Cabrera-Teco Hernández with their Citroen C3. And seventh in their debut with the Fabia of Skoda Canarias, Sergio Fuentes-Ariday Bonilla, who fulfilled their first objective of the year.

Eighth and first of the Rally4 Cup Canarias were Juan Carlos de la Cruz-Kimberley González, followed at a distance by the young Yoday Betancor-Jordi Negrín, first in the FALP Promotion Trophy. And by Camilo González-Daniel Fernández.

For their part, Cristo Pérez-Aida González with Renault Megane were the best classified (Pre2000 Group) within the Canary Islands Trophy, climbing to 13th place in the final general classification.

Around 7:00 p.m. the final ceremony of the rally took place on the Rambla Medular de Arrecife (Open Mall), with the presentation of trophies and the final party of the award winners with hundreds of fans supporting them. This new edition organized by CD. Evesport, has responded perfectly to the sporting expectations presented by the Lanzarote event, with thousands of fans from all the islands who enjoyed a championship start in Lanzarote in style. And also with a new triumph for its most emblematic driver.
