On Sunday, November 17, the Adeje Karate Championship, organized by the Canary Karate Federation, was held in the Las Torres Pavilion in Adeje (Tenerife), bringing together more than 400 competitors from the islands of all categories, in which the Arrecife Club participated with six competitors, achieving three medals, two golds and one silver.
Amelie Skiba was proclaimed champion in Kumite Cadet Female Open, after winning all her fights (2-0, 3-0 and 1-0), as did Caleb Padrón in Kumite Youth Male –36 -42 -48 kg. (3-0, 3-0, 4-3). For his part, Marius Sasu won the runner-up in Kumite Children's Male -45 +45 kg, after three victories, and falling only in the final (7-0, 7-2, 7-6, 2-3).
Poliarrecife's participation was completed with Haddu Hamed, in Kumite Senior -84 +84 kg, Mohamed Kouchamy, in Kumite Children's Male - 45 +45 kg., and Javier García, in Kumite Youth Male -54 -60 +60 kg., who, although they could not advance in their qualifiers, did a great job.
An action that confirms the good level of the Poliarrecife karatekas and an extra motivation for the events they still have on their agenda for the rest of the year.
Important events such as the Spanish Championship, in which Amelie Skiba will be part of the Canary Selection, who will also be in the last day of the World League to be held in Venice in December. In addition, Amelie Skiba and Caleb Padrón will be in the Grand Final of the National League to be held in Pontevedra next month, and for which both have achieved their qualification, ending the year with the Pepe Pérez Trophy to be held in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife) on December 15. Events for which the group of competitors and technicians of the Club continue their preparation intensively in the facilities of the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion, where the Poliarrecife Club carries out its training.
