The triathlon team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife had a new appointment last weekend, traveling to Gran Canaria to participate in the I Agaete Aquathlon 2024 and test with which the Canary Islands Talents Series ended.
Once again, the young triathletes of the club had a great performance in all categories, reaping the rewards of the great work that has been done throughout the season in each of the training sessions.
The I Agaete Aquathlon 2024 is part of a new day of the Canary Islands Talents Series, organized by the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation (FECANTRI). The triathlon team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife that traveled to Gran Canaria had ten young triathletes, accompanied by Israel Caraballo, coach and head of the triathlon section of the club.
One of the most outstanding performances of the weekend was by Joel Izán Concepción, finishing the race in fifth position overall with a time of 15 minutes and 5 seconds, which allowed him to climb to the second step of the podium in the cadet category. Pau Sánchez in the children's category and Tarek Larrotcha in cadets, finished the race in seventh position.
For her part, Vega Martín crossed the finish line in 13th place in the children's category and her teammate Claudia Rodríguez occupied 15th place. Cristina Benítez could not finish the race and had to withdraw.
As for the younger ones, Izán Díaz Alcántara in beginners and Martina Guerra Machín in children, took the victory in the I Agaete Aquathlon 2024 in their respective categories. For their part, Lucas Díaz Cabrera and Carlota Isabel González Brito, finished in fourth position in the beginner category.
