Basketball players from Tinajo have paid tribute to coach Pablo Brieba after his recent death in Lanzarote. The young man, who was around 30 years old, lost his life in Los Charcones, in Playa Blanca, this past Sunday.
Players from the Tizziri Tinajo Basketball Club made the basketballs bounce on the floor of the Plaza de San Roque for a minute straight.
As shown in a video released by the Tinajo City Council on social networks, those responsible for the tribute assured that this sound was Brieba's favorite.
At the end of the minute bouncing the ball against the cobblestones of the square, the attendees observed a minute of silence and, at the end, applauded in his honor.
The council has thanked the island's basketball family for this gesture to say goodbye to Pablo. "Pablo leaves a great void and a great mark in the municipality of Tinajo," he continued.
