The solidarity of the residents of Tahíche closed the festivities in honor of their patrons, Santiago Apóstol and Santa Ana.

On Saturday afternoon, the town's streets and adjacent roads became solidarity routes with the maximum participation of women, men and young people from various parts of the island to participate in the 'X Solidarity Race'.

The race has two distances, 6 and 12 kilometers, and all participants have only one objective: to reach the finish line and deposit their bag with non-perishable products, mostly personal hygiene and cleaning products. In this tenth edition, 3,025 kilos were counted, which will go to the NGO 'Calor y Café'.

As the runners arrived at the finish line, and to cool off from the race, they were given an ice cream while they watched the other participants approach the finish line. After all the runners entered, several prizes were raffled off, donated by collaborating companies such as trips to La Graciosa and Fuerteventura, dinners, spa sessions, etc.

At the end of the day, Domingo Cejas, representing the organization, addressed all those present, thanking them for their participation for another year, highlighting the solidarity gesture.
