The 'Real Club Náutico de Arrecife Triathlon' promises to be a "success" next Sunday

A championship that ends the summer sports calendar with 218 athletes registered

The 29th edition of the 'Real Club Náutico de Arrecife Triathlon', which was postponed on August 13 due to the heat wave, will be held next Sunday, September 10 with 218 registered athletes. There will be different departure times, at 09.30 hours for children, cadets and youth, at 10.15 hours for children, at 10.30 hours for pre-beginners and beginners and at 11.30 hours for children, cadets, youth and senior. With the celebration of this event, the summer sports calendar of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife comes to an end.

The 'Real Club Náutico de Arrecife' Triathlon - City of Arrecife, is one of the oldest events in the Canary Islands in its category and will be scored on this occasion for the Canary Islands Triathlon Series in which the best Canarian triathletes participate. The start will be in the vicinity of the RCNA and the athletes must swim a distance of 750 meters, leaving the water to start the bike tour of three laps to complete 20 kilometers of distance.

After the bike tour they will start a five kilometer journey along the avenue completing two laps of a 2.5 kilometer circuit. The finish line will be located in front of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. At the end of the race the awards ceremony will take place in the RCNA parking lot.

Championship routes

  • Pre beginner: 125 m. foot race, 50 m. swimming, 125 m. foot race.
  • Beginner and child: 250 m. foot race, 100 m. swimming, 250 m. foot race.
  • Children, cadet and youth: 500 m. swimming, 6 km. bicycle, 1.5 km foot race.
  • Senior: 750 m. swimming, 20 km. cycling and 5 km, foot race.
