The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, runner-up of the 'VI Canary Islands Open Water Cup'

The results obtained by the different swimmers throughout the competition have allowed to add a total of 6,475 points, a score that has served to climb to the second step of the podium in the club classification

The open water swimming team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife has successfully completed the sixth edition of the Canary Islands Open Water Cup, participating in the different tests programmed by the Canary Islands Swimming Federation and which have been part of the regional circuit. The good work of each of the team members has allowed the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife to conquer the runner-up of the VI Canary Islands Open Water Cup.

Two of the swimmers of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife have won the gold medal in the individual classification, proclaiming Erasmista Perdomo (Máster +40) and Rosa Retana (Máster +45) champions of the IV Canary Islands Open Water Cup.

In the men's Máster +50 category the club has had double presence on the podium, with the second place of Miguel Ángel Ferrer and the third position of Carlos Saenz. And also highlight the second position conquered by Sara Perera (Máster +35) and Sandra Nieves (Máster +45).

In the club classification, the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife has been proclaimed runner-up of the VI Canary Islands Open Water Cup. The results obtained by the different swimmers throughout the competition has allowed to add a total of 6,475 points, a score that has served to climb to the second step of the podium in the
club classification.

One of the great novelties of the VI Canary Islands Open Water Cup was the creation of the I Open Water Circuit, and in which participants were allowed to complete the routes of the tests with the use of neoprene. In this modality, Silvia Gopar (Máster +50) was proclaimed champion and María Teresa Lorenzo (Máster +50) achieved the second position.

The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife wants to congratulate each of the members of the open water team, for the skill demonstrated in each of the tests that have been part of this season of the VI Canary Islands Open Water Cup and at the same time, invites them to continue training and enjoying one of their great passions in the face of a new edition of the competition.
