The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife (RCNA) has achieved the second position in the Women's Regatta 2024, organized by the Royal Canary Sailing Federation. The event, which was held on July 13 and 14 at the Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, brought together six teams from Canary Island clubs in an exciting team competition.

The RCNA team, composed of Andrea Stinga as skipper, along with Marina Armas and Gabriela Gil, demonstrated their skill throughout the two days of regattas. The competition was carried out in a round-robin format, with the crews rotating between the four boats of the Ideal 18 Class available.

Saturday began at nine in the morning with the skippers' meeting, followed by several races that continued on Sunday with six additional regattas, completing a total of 18 races in round-robin format. On Sunday, the sailing conditions presented a north wind of between 6 and 8 knots, slightly less intense than on Saturday, when 11 knots were reached in the bay of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The sailors of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife managed to finish in third position in the preliminary phase, securing their pass to the final phase along with the four best teams. In this decisive phase, three regattas were held to determine the winning team. Andrea Stinga and her crew obtained a second place in the first regatta and two third places in the following ones, accumulating a total of 8 points.

Finally, the RCNA team took second place, finishing behind the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria team, skippered by Patricia Reino, who achieved three victories in the final phase. This runner-up position is a testament to the effort and dedication of the RCNA team, which has proven to be a competitive force in the field of women's sailing.
