The 2025 Canasta Championship of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife ended last Friday, with an event in which trophies were awarded to the winning couples. Lola Niz and Clary Garcés have been the winners of this new edition that has brought together a good number of players every week at the club's facilities. A championship that once again shows its most supportive side, with the delivery of a donation to the AlanEM Association.
The awards ceremony of the 2025 Canasta Championship was attended by the president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Julio Romero, who was accompanied by the vice president of the club, Clary Garcés, and Sue González, a member of the Board of Directors. The winners in this edition were Lola Niz and Clary Garcés, and the runners-up Pradina Brito and María Dolores Viñas. In addition, the prize was awarded to the champions of the 2024 charity tournament, with Rosi Medina and Tila Viñoly winning.
The canasteras of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife have once again demonstrated their solidarity in this edition, with a voluntary donation to collaborate with charitable associations that need financial help. In this edition, the aid has been destined to the AlanEM Association, which is dedicated to alleviating the needs of patients with multiple sclerosis, ALS or Parkinson's, among other neurological diseases. The association provides physiotherapists, psychologists and qualified personnel.
Over the last few years, the canasteras of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife have collaborated with charitable associations such as Pequeño Valiente, Calor y Café, Flora Acoge, Cáritas Parroquiales, Cáritas Diocesana, AFOL, AlanEM, among others.
Julio Romero and Clary Garcés, responsible for the RCNA canasta championship, wanted to thank all the players for their participation and congratulate all the staff of the charitable associations involved in improving the quality of life of all patients. And finally, they summoned all the canasteras to the next tournament that will begin on October 2.
