The Marlines de Lanzarote Canoeing Club returns successfully from the II Spanish Sea Kayak Cup, held on April 12 and 13 in Vigo, being proclaimed absolute champions and monarchs in Young Promises, adding an impressive haul of 27 medals (5 golds, 12 silvers and 10 bronzes).

An overwhelming team dominance

With 56 paddlers in competition, the Lanzarote natives demonstrated their hegemony in Galician waters:

Young Promises (children): Gold with 325 points, ahead of Kayak Vigo (207) and Náutico de Cobres (167).

In addition, the club shone in partial classifications:

Runners-up in senior male, female, sub23 male and youth male.

Third in female cadet and in the Iberdrola League (focused on female results).

Individual heroes

Among the outstanding performances:

Kevin Gálvez (double child medalist).

Andor Dévora and Ariadne Giménez (gold in youth mixed).

Javier López (silver and bronze in senior).

Svetlana Kapisovska (silver and bronze in senior).

Juan Tomás Méndez (gold in veterans 55-59).

The Marlines reinforce their leadership in the National Sea Kayak League and take the lead in the Young Promises League, strengthening their candidacy for a third consecutive title. "We met the objectives: maintain the absolute leadership and recover the child gold. This is the result of the work of paddlers, technicians and families," said José María García, president of the club. "It was a very hard test, but the team atmosphere drove us," said Javier López, senior medalist.
