Last weekend the V RallySprint Alcarria Madrileña was held, celebrated in Pezuela de las Torres, where the co-driver from Lanzarote Adrià Muñoz, accompanied by the Madrid driver Raúl Carrasco, achieved a brilliant victory in the Copa Kobe Madrid and in Class 04.

The race was marked by mud and especially delicate conditions that raised the technical demands to the maximum in each section. Pace management, choice of lines, and adaptability were decisive in a rally where any mistake could be costly. Despite this, the team completed all the heats without incident, also adding very valuable kilometers for the upcoming national commitments.

The rally also meant the first contact with a completely new vehicle for both: the Toyota Yaris Rally5-Kit, a model that left very positive sensations from the first stage. Among its main attractions are the sequential gearbox and the Tecnoschok suspensions, elements that provide a notable leap in competitiveness and performance on dirt. The debut could not have been more promising, confirming the potential of the package in a particularly demanding scenario.

The focus is already on the Kobe Rallyes Cup, integrated within the Superchampionship of Spain of Rallyes and the Cup of Spain of Earth Rallyes, which will start at Rally Ciudad de Pozoblanco and will have a calendar consisting of five events:

May 2-3: Rally Ciudad de Pozoblanco

May 16-17: Rally Ciudad de Utiel

September 12-13: Princess of Asturias Rally

October 3-4: Cáceres Rally

October 31 - November 1: Granada City Rally

With this exciting start to the season, Adrià Muñoz reaffirms his sporting progression and his ambition to consolidate himself on the national scene, representing Lanzarote in one of the most competitive single-make championships in Spanish motorsport.

The co-pilot himself wanted to highlight the importance of collective work and the support received:

“It has been a very complicated rally due to the conditions, but we are very satisfied with the work done. Starting the year with a victory gives us confidence to face the Copa Kobe Rallyes with enthusiasm and ambition,” said Muñoz after getting out of the car.
