The Lanzarote Racket Club returned from its participation in the TOP TTR Tuineje, held in Fuerteventura on April 12 and 13, with mixed feelings. Although on this occasion not all the expectations set by the excellent results of previous tournaments were met, the team managed to reap several medals that reaffirm its potential and projection in the regional scene.
The expedition, composed of 13 players and 2 coaches, competed with dedication and determination in various categories, starring moments of great level that reflect the continuous growth of the club.
Under 11 Category
Women's Singles: Vera García was proclaimed champion after winning in an exciting final against Ciara López from Chicharrera.
Mixed Doubles: Vera García, in partnership with Acaymo Marrero (Fuerteventura), once again climbed to the top of the podium after defeating Mateo Velázquez and Gara López, representatives from Majorera.
Under 13 Category
Mixed Doubles: Airam Steux and Ian González achieved a meritorious bronze, falling in the semifinals against Antonio Fumero and Ancor Mayor, from Fuerteventura.
Women's Singles: Samyra Méndez shone with her own light by winning the gold after defeating the talented Nerea Infantes, from Tenerife.
Under 15 Category
Mixed Doubles: Two club couples won the bronze: Aday González and Marina Morales, after falling against Pablo Gómez and Mishelle Sanahuja (Club Los Hinojeros); and Esmeralda Castillo together with Noah Martí, defeated in the semifinals by Nahum Chávez and Carlota Pita (El Tenzul El Rosario).
Men's Doubles: Marco Verges and Jorge Betancort also won the bronze after falling in the semifinals against Mauro García and David Cortés, from Tenerife.
In total, 12 medals were obtained, 4 gold and 8 bronze.
Despite not reaching all the objectives set, the Lanzarote Racket Club makes a positive assessment of its participation in the tournament. The experience adds to the learning process and reinforces both the team's commitment and the motivation to continue growing and facing new sporting challenges.
