The CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa shines in the Canary Islands Alevín and Infantil Championship

The Lanzarote club wins 31 medals and several regional records

The Nadamas Santa Rosa Swimming Sports Club had an outstanding performance during the Canary Islands Alevín and Infantil Championship, held last weekend in Tenerife, where its athletes achieved a total of 31 medals, in addition to important collective classifications and new regional records that consolidate the entity's excellent sporting moment.

The club's expedition was represented by swimmers of the alevín and infantil categories, who competed at the highest level against the best specialists in the archipelago, obtaining results of great relevance in both individual events and general classifications.

Among the most outstanding performances was Andrea Fraga González, who achieved one of the great milestones of the championship by winning five gold medals in the 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, and 400 freestyle events. Furthermore, the swimmer set three new Canary Islands records in the 50, 100, and 200 meter backstroke distances, confirming herself as one of the main references in regional swimming in the alevín category.

Diego Vázquez also stood out, achieving an extraordinary balance of five medals: gold in 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, and 100 butterfly, in addition to a silver in 400 freestyle. For his part, Nicolás Padrón once again demonstrated his dominance in the long-distance events by becoming Canary Islands champion in the 1,500, 800, and 400 meter freestyle, also adding a bronze medal in the 200 freestyle.

The successes continued with the performances of Nora Delgado Hernández, double regional champion after winning the 800 and 1,500 meter freestyle events, and Martina Martín, who won gold in the 400 individual medley and bronze in the 200 individual medley. Likewise, Katia Pérez López won a gold medal in the 800 freestyle and two silvers in the 1,500 and 400 freestyle, while

Erik Suárez Martín added two silver medals in the 200 and 800 freestyle. Echedey Cabrera Erimias also achieved the regional runner-up title in the 800 freestyle event. In the technical events, Juan José Ramos obtained three silver medals in the 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, and 50 butterfly, while Catalina Rodríguez Regueira was proclaimed Canary Islands runner-up in the 200 individual medley.

Equally remarkable was the performance of Nahia Escudero García, who won silver in 50 freestyle and bronze in 100 freestyle. For his part, Lois Chantada achieved a meritorious fifth place in 50 breaststroke, in addition to two bronze medals in 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Success was also achieved in relays, where gold was won in both 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle.

Collectively, CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa obtained excellent results in the club classification. It was proclaimed runner-up of the Canary Islands in the male infant category and was the third classified in female infant. In addition, in the female alevín category it was classified in fourth place and in male alevín it finished in 15th position.

In addition, several club athletes stood out in the AQUA points classification, which awards the best technical marks of the championship. Andrea Fraga González was the first classified in the 50 meters backstroke in female alevín, as was Diego Vázquez in the 100 meters freestyle in male infant. And Nicolás Padrón was the third classified in the 400 meters freestyle in male infant.

From the technical direction of CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa, the performance shown by the entire expedition is highly valued, highlighting not only the high number of medals obtained, but also the sporting progression of the swimmers, the team spirit demonstrated throughout the competition and the achievement of historical marks for the club.

These results confirm the excellent work that has been developed from the base and reinforce the positioning of CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa as one of the reference entities in Canarian swimming, facing the next commitments of the season with enthusiasm and ambition.
