The CD Magec Tías receives the Award for Excellence in Digital Transparency in the Canary Islands

The CD Magec Tías continues to receive recognition beyond sports competition. This Thursday, the Europa Hall of the Parliament of the Canary Islands hosted the public ceremony for the delivery of diplomas for the Award for Excellence in Digital Transparency in the Canary Islands 2024, a distinction awarded by the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Canary Islands, which recognizes entities that stand out for the quality and degree of dissemination of information published on their transparency portals.

The Lanzarote club was one of the recipients after achieving the maximum possible score (10.00) in the evaluation of the Canary Islands Transparency Index (ITCanarias 2024). This recognition attests to the excellent level of compliance of CD Magec Tías in terms of transparency, as well as the effort made to guarantee clear, complete, and up-to-date access to the institutional, economic, and organizational information of the entity.

The award was granted by Resolution of July 1, 2026, of the Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Canary Islands, pursuant to Article 60 of Organic Law 1/2018, of November 5, on the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of the Canary Islands. The award recognizes the excellent degree of dissemination of the informative content of the club's Transparency Portal, verified through the official evaluation carried out on ITCanarias 2024.

During the institutional ceremony, the diploma was presented by María Noelia García Leal, Commissioner for Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Canary Islands, and was received on behalf of CD Magec Tías by Susana Carvalho, treasurer of the entity, who attended the ceremony held at the headquarters of the Parliament of the Canary Islands.

This recognition highlights CD Magec Tías' commitment to management based on responsibility, accountability, and good practices. Transparency has become one of the club's fundamental pillars, understood as an essential tool for strengthening the trust of athletes, families, sponsors, institutions, and fans.

Obtaining the highest rating in the ITCanarias 2024 also means an incentive to continue improving information access mechanisms and to keep advancing in modern, efficient, and close management, in line with the values that CD Magec Tías promotes both on and off the court.
