With the XIX San Juan Swimming Crossing, the crazy summer of sports competitions of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife begins, it will be held on Saturday, June 24 for all categories, being valid as the V Canary Islands Cup of the Canary Islands Swimming Federation. There are 118 athletes who have registered so far, with registration open at www.rcna.es and www.tripasioneventos.com. The cost of registration is 3 euros for pre-Benjamin, 10 euros for Benjamin and Alevín, 18 euros for children, junior and master, 30 euros for the Canary Islands Cup.
The XIX San Juan Crossing is disputed in the pre-Benjamin, Benjamin, Alevín, children, junior and master categories, with distances adapted to each of them. The start and finish will be on the ramp of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. The event is sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Arrecife City Council with the collaboration of the Canary Islands Swimming Federation. On Friday 23rd from 16.30 to 20.00 hours, will be the collection of bib numbers, on Saturday from 12.00 to 14.00 for swimmers from other islands.
The departure times and distances by categories are as follows:
15.30 Pre-Benjamin departure – 50 meters
15.40 Benjamin departure – 400 meters
16.00 Alevín departure – 800 meters
16.30 Children, junior and master departure – 1,400 meters
16.40 – V Canary Islands Cup Departure - Distance 2,000 meters
The participants will be presented with a commemorative toiletry bag, refreshments for participants and companions. Each athlete will receive the finisher medal and trophies will be awarded to the men's and women's overall.
