ESNA Lanzarote, winner of the third Junior Male place in the Absolute Children's Regional Championship

ESNA Lanzarote participated last weekend in the Regional Junior Absolute Children's Championship of summer 2024. The team approached the José Feo Perdomo-CN Metroploe Pool in Gran Canaria on June 27, 28, 29 and 30 to participate in the sports days.

The swimmers who were part of the days were: Óscar Pérez (2005), Íker Fernández (2006), Kameron Kezele (2006), Micaela Navarro (2006), Nicolás Manzatto (2006), Claudia Pérez (2008), Gabriel Navarro (2008), Marco Arteaga (2008), Sara Rijo (2008) and Iván Colodrero (2009). The days were composed of four passes, the first on June 27 in the afternoon; two sessions on June 28, one in the morning and two in the afternoon; the third day on June 29, one morning session and two in the afternoon; and the fourth day on June 30, with one morning session and two in the afternoon. 
After having achieved a minimum mark in previous competitions, 10 swimmers from ESNA Lanzarote, accompanied by their coaches, traveled to the championship. The effort of all the swimmers has made ESNA Lanzarote the fourth Junior club in the Canary Islands with a total of 333.50 points.

Highlight the third place in the 4x100 men's freestyle relays with the swimmers Gabriel Navarro, Íker Fernández, Kameron Kezele and Nicolás Manzatto, with a time of 3.45.15. The same swimmers qualified in fourth place in 4x100 styles, qualifying with a time of 4.13.46.

In the individual events, Nicolás Manzatto won a silver medal in 100 freestyle and 200 styles and bronze in 200 freestyle, also being awarded with the third Junior Male place by FINA points, and Iván Colodrero won gold in the 200 and 400 freestyle events, also securing the minimums to compete in the next Spanish championship in the 100, 200 and 400 freestyle events and second place in the Men's Children's category by FINA points.

This championship has been the culmination of the season in the Canary Islands and has left a very good taste in the mouth with the improvement in the personal marks of all the swimmers and the good atmosphere in the team and with the other participating clubs. With the satisfaction of a job well done, they are already starting to prepare for the new 2024-2025 season.
