Náutico Tenerife defeated Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero in the derby (68-77)

An even match was offered on Saturday afternoon by Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero and Náutico Tenerife, with the last Canarian derby of the season going to the Tenerife side, which helps them continue to dream of playing in the promotion play-offs. The match was controlled at all times by Náutico Tenerife, against an Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero that played in bursts. The Lanzarote team missed direction in their attacking game, suffering from the absence of Richard Nguema due to illness.

After some initial minutes of probing, Náutico Tenerife gradually took control of the match. Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero's outside shooting wasn't working, forcing Federico Toledo to call a time-out after only four minutes (6-12). The Danes Sami Eleraky and Mads Bonde were causing a lot of damage to the local defense, scoring 17 points between them in this first quarter. The first ten minutes ended with a score of 18 to 24.

Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero reacted in the second quarter, thanks in part to Teodor Atanasov's performance in the inside game. The Serbian pivot forced two 2+1 plays and reduced Náutico Tenerife's lead to just one point (23-24). The differences were minimal in this second quarter, although a three-pointer from Mads Bonde reopened a small gap. The half-time score was 42 to 48.

The second half of the match was a case of wanting to but not being able to for Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero. The Lanzarote team continued to miss direction in the attacking game, Ander Fernández quickly accumulated personal fouls, and Víctor Bermúdez wasn't having his afternoon. Despite this, Náutico Tenerife didn't manage to break the game open, and the third quarter ended with a score of 56 to 64.

Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero never lost face in the match, although it never gave the impression that it could turn the score around. When they got closest to the Tenerife team, the local players were too hasty in their attacking actions and lost balls very easily. Náutico Tenerife controlled the match, and the final score was 68 to 77.

The defeat leaves Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero in eleventh position in the standings, with a record of 11 wins and 17 losses. the EBA League takes a week off for the Easter holidays, and the competition resumes at the end of the month, with the Lanzarote team having to visit Real Madrid on their court.
