A few days before the celebration of the Orvecame Rally – Isla de Lanzarote that will serve as the closing of the 2022 season and in the Canary Islands Championship, the clubs Manguia Motor Sport and Motisleño, together with the support of the Escudería Lanzarote, joined forces to organize and carry out a test to serve as preparation for the Lanzarote drivers participating in the event.
The training, which took place in the “shakedown” style section “Guatiza – El Mojón” in the municipality of Teguise, was carried out without any significant incident. In addition, the test had a great acceptance from drivers, with 25 vehicles being presented for tuning. The outward section, with the Guatiza – El Mojón route, was carried out in four passes, while the return was done in three.
The preparation of the training sessions included technical commissioners and race directors, as well as a security plan and insurance for the participants along with their corresponding driver's licenses.
The vice president of the Cabildo, Marcos Bergaz, as well as the Councilor for Sports of the Teguise City Council, Gerardo Rodríguez, and the president of the Las Palmas Automobile Federation, Miguel Ángel Domínguez, were present during the tests.
