Last Sunday, the XXIII Villa de Los Realejos Championship was held at the Basilio Labrador Municipal Pavilion in Los Realejos, a regional competition organized by the Canary Islands Karate Federation, which was attended by 400 karatekas from the islands.

Two karatekas from the Kárate Poliarrecife Club traveled to this championship, both climbing to the podium in their respective categories.

Specifically, Amelie Skiba won, champion in Female Cadet Kumite -61 and +61 kilometers, as well as Caleb Padrón Alonso, third in Male Youth Kumite. -36 and -42 kg.

The competitors were assisted in coaching duties by Mark Zhi García.

Amelie Skiba clearly surpassed all her rivals, achieving victory in her four fights by 11-1 in the round of 16, 9-2 in the quarterfinals, 5-2 in the semifinal, and 9-2 in the final, which earned her a place at the top of the podium.
