Valdevaqueros beach, in Cádiz, hosted the Spanish Wingfoil Cup this past weekend, a competition in which the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife was represented with the participation of Manuel Morillo Fiestas. The Lanzarote native once again proved to be among the best national riders, winning second place in the competition and showing great mastery in the waves of the Cadiz bay.
The best riders in Spain met from September 10 to 14 at Valdevaqueros beach, in Cádiz, where the Spanish Wingfoil Cup and the Spanish Kiteboarding Championship were also held. In the wingfoil category, Manuel Morillo Fiestas advanced through rounds from the first day of the competition, until reaching the
grand finale.
A final of the sub17 category in which the rider of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife faced Ral Stefanelli, River Moore and Nathan Berger. The east wind blew strongly throughout the competition days and made it possible to see a great show.
Manuel Morillo Fiestas scored 21.63 points in the final, only surpassed by Nathan Berger (22.13) and far ahead of River Moore (16.20).

In April at the Spain Wingfoil League held in the town of Chiclana, occupying fourth place in the general classification and Spanish Freestyle Junior champion.
The president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Julio Romero, and the entire Board of Directors, wishes to “congratulate Manuel Morillo Fiestas for the success achieved this past weekend in Cádiz, once again placing the name of Lanzarote in a national and emerging competition such as wingfoil”.
