Luis E. Ferrer and Pedro Padrón from Lanzarote will participate in the XV Panda Raid in Morocco

The Panda Raid starts this Friday from Almería, where the verifications are carried out, to end in Marrakech

Luis E. Ferrer Hernández and Pedro Padrón Cedres join the two hundred and seventy teams that participate this year, including 8 Canarian teams, as well as national and foreign teams. Two hundred and seventy teams, including two teams from Lanzarote, will live the Panda Raid experience in a new edition returning to Morocco, which starts in Almería from April 28 to May 6.

Two teams from Lanzarote, Luis E. Ferrer Hernández and Pedro Padrón Cedres with bib number 176 and Neumáticos Cedrés bib number 165 Leonardo Cedrés and Evangelina Suárez have joined the two hundred and seventy teams that will participate in the Panda Raid.

The Panda Raid is a long-distance and endurance solidarity race, which is held annually in Morocco, on the traditional tracks. A new route that will take pilots and co-pilots to cross the country from north to south, and from east to west, from the port of Nador, to reach the Imperial City of Marrakech.

Composed of seven stages, Panda Raid 2023 offers an experience that will require precise navigation and excellent coordination between the team members, who will have to make an exercise of resistance and skill to complete all the stages.

30/04 Merija- Anoual 268 km.
1/05 Anoual - Boudnib 284 km.
2/05 Boudnib - Merzouga 200 km.
3/05 Merzouga - Tafraute Sidi Ali 177 km.
4/05 Tafraute Sidi Ali - Tansikht 293 km.
5/05 Tansikht - Marrakech 387 km which will be the finish line

Luis and Pedro, two young people from Lanzarote attracted by the spirit of adventure, the sporting and, above all, human values that this race proposes, united to face the challenge of arriving with the Fiat Panda 4X4 and thus be able to fulfill the dream of representing our archipelago in a different and supportive way.

The Lanzarote team will start with the aim of starting and finishing the race as well as possible, with the hardness that the stages entail with their tracks and precise navigation. This is an adventure that involves living with people, and as representatives of Lanzarote, leaving a mark.
