The sports club 'Los Pingüinos' has won the gold medal as a club in the Regional Artistic Swimming Championship held last Saturday, February 10 in Gran Canaria. It was a long day where 50 children swimmers and 62 juvenile swimmers participated. The competition opened at 8.30 in the morning with the juvenile figures, followed by the children's combos and juvenile mixed duets. After a break for lunch, the day resumed with the juvenile combos, followed by the children's mixed duets, closing the competition with the children's figures and subsequent medal ceremony.
The swimmers were accompanied throughout the competition by their coaches Beatriz Gavira and Sara Gijón. The team returned home on Sunday morning where they will have three days of rest to continue training at full capacity since in three weeks, they will move to Sabadell for the Spanish Championship.
