Lanzarote's veteran football is in mourning this Monday, following the unexpected loss of Maximiliano Coello, a player for Mancha Blanca Juanvi. A death that has filled all members of the Insular League of Veteran Football of Lanzarote with pain and consternation, and for this reason, a respectful minute of silence is being observed in all matches of the ninth matchday.

The Conejero Veterans Football Association wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the family of Maximiliano Coello, and to express its sympathy to his friends and loved ones during these difficult times. AFUVECO extends these expressions of grief to all members of Mancha Blanca Juanvi, and also to CD Tinajo, where the player has family members.

As soon as the news broke, the Conejero Veteran Football Association announced the suspension of the match that was scheduled for Monday night between Mancha Blanca Juanvi and CD Cruce Surf Costa Teguise. At the same time, the postponement of the clash between 8 Islas Canarias and CD Tinajo, scheduled for Tuesday night at the Municipal de San Francisco Javier, was notified.

In all the matches played on Monday night in the Insular Veterans Football League of Lanzarote, a respectful minute of silence was observed in memory of Maxi Coello and to remember his figure within the island's veteran football. This measure will be maintained in the rest of the matches to be played during the week until the ninth round is completed.
