Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen fell defeated this Saturday at the Pavelló Municipal Onze de Setembre during their visit to Lleida Handbol Club (27-18) in a match corresponding to the seventh round of the women's División de Honor Oro.

The result means chaining several games without achieving victory for Jesús Casanova's squad. The match was ultimately decided in the second half. The Tiñoso team maintained their lead until halftime (14-12). After the break, the Catalan team stepped on the gas to seal the match.

For the Tiñoso coach, Jesús Casanova, "it was a game with the same dynamic as other away games. In the first half, we held on, with shooting errors and some turnovers, unforced turnovers, but hey, we were on the scoreboard, two down at halftime. We thought we could come back, but the second half was a complete disaster, turnovers, missed shots, etc. The trip wasn't the most comfortable, our flight was delayed, we arrived straight at the court, it undoubtedly affected our rest and our bodies got cold, then it was hard to get going again. I think it had a significant impact, beyond the absences we've been dealing with for three weeks. What I always say, there's nothing else to do but keep gritting our teeth, keep working, and hope the results go our way," Casanova concludesWith this defeat, Puerto del Carmen remains in thirteenth position, second to last, with three points. Lleida Handbol Club moves up to eighth, with seven points.Caterina Rocío became the top scorer of the match and of her team with six goals. For Puerto, two players scored three goals each, Brenda Torres and Lucía Olivier.

Jesús Casanova's squad will host Schar Colores Zaragoza in two weeks. It will be on November 29th at 6:30 PM. The Zaragoza team is eleventh in the standings with four points, one more than Las Tiñoseras, with two wins and five losses in their record.
