The technical director of the Poliarrecife Karate Club, José Antonio Lasso, will be one of the Spanish referees in the European Senior Karate Championship, which will be held in the Croatian city of Zadar.

Next May 6, José Antonio Lasso, world karate referee and belonging to the Canary Islands Karate Federation, will travel with the rest of the expedition of the Royal Spanish Karate Federation to Croatia.

Lasso has been summoned to officiate as a Spanish referee in the European competition, in the absolute category, which will be held in the Croatian city of Zadar, between May 8 and 12.

In total, there are four Spanish referees who will be present at the competition, with the Arrecife referee being the only one from all of the Canary Islands.

"This will be one more international event in our referee's career and, without a doubt, a new recognition of his career in this field," they said from the club.
