The Lanzarote footballer and UD Las Palmas C player, Saúl Coco, suffered a serious injury this Sunday during the match against Tacoronte, after a brutal impact against the wall of one of the ends of the Barranco Las Lajas field.
In a video released by La Provincia, you can see how Saúl Coco was fighting for a ball with a Tacoronte player, when he hits the wall and falls to the ground.
According to La Provincia, the match was stopped for 40 minutes, until the ambulance arrived and took the footballer to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for a double wrist fracture, in addition to being treated for a strong blow to the knee that could have affected the patellar tendon.

"It hasn't been the best way to celebrate my birthday, I won't lie. Everything went well!! Thank you very much to everyone for the congratulations and messages of support," the Lanzarote native posted on social media hours later, along with a photograph of himself showing his two bandaged hands.
