The Cycling Tour of Lanzarote continues to be a success in terms of participation and monitoring for the island. The more than 600 amateur and professional cyclists who started from Club La Santa added a touch of color that surpassed that of the 2024 premiere.
Before starting the march, participants and attendees were able to listen to the song recently created for the Lanzarote Cycling Tour. Once the spectacular peloton was rolling as a group, each municipality and each regrouping area experienced a true celebration, with hundreds of fans cheering on the participants and enjoying a recreational event for all ages.
In Haría the time trial began, the most spectacular part of this first day of 115 kilometers. On the men's side, Daniel Kirion took the victory while in the women's category Anne Haug achieved yet another triumph on the island.
Details of this Sunday's stage
Looking ahead to Sunday's stage, participants will depart from Puerto del Carmen, head to the west of the island passing through areas such as Playa Blanca and Yaiza, and finish this adventure at the Club La Santa facilities. Along the way, a 74-kilometer route and two time trials. The first, from Las Casitas to Femes, covers 5.3 kilometers, while the second time trial will start on the Timanfaya road and culminate in Mancha Blanca, with 12.7 km.
