Lanzarote is once again the protagonist in the sports scene. This coming Saturday, November 25, 'Club La Santa' will delight sports lovers with the 'Club La Santa Night Run'.

A race organized by 'Club La Santa' that has already demonstrated that sport, music and fun can go hand in hand. This race, which is also included in the 'Tinajo Cup', will feature food trucks, musical performances, bouncy castles and much more, which will give an original approach and a touch of color to this vibrant show.

'Club La Santa Night Run' will be the test prior to the 'International Running Challenge' and will have the Tinajo City Council as co-organizer, and the Cabildo and Tourism of Lanzarote as collaborating entities.

The morning of Thursday saw the press conference for the presentation of the test, which was attended by different personalities related to the collaborating entities of the event. The Minister of Sports of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Juan Monzón, the Mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, and the CEO of the Society for the Promotion of Foreign Affairs of Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández, accompanied the Director of Sports of Club La Santa, Michael Møller.

Michael Møller opened the event by thanking the collaborating entities for "their help and presence" at the event. "As new features this year, it is possible to participate in the walk mode and there will also be a test for children from six months to 17 years old,” Møller revealed.

On the other hand, Jesús Machín stated that "'Club La Santa' is the sports cradle of Lanzarote, it is something special and, for me, a benchmark in the Canary Islands. As mayor, I have a lot to thank the club for, I feel part of it.”

In his speech, Héctor Fernández, acknowledged that “we intend that Lanzarote be a platform for the sports tourism sector, but that objective, without 'Club La Santa', would be impossible. It is the spearhead of the project.”

Finally, Juan Monzón stated that he wanted to “value sport on the island”, since “the Cabildo will always be hand in hand with an example to follow in Lanzarote and worldwide such as 'Club La Santa'”.
