In an intense and hard-fought match, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife defeated Disiclin Balonmano Lalin by a score of 33 to 28 in a game held this Sunday at the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion, as part of the sixth round of the Men's First National Division. The victory allows the Lanzarote team to maintain a perfect record for the season (6 games, 6 wins) and share the top spot in the standings.

The clash, posed as a demanding test for the home side's aspirations, gave the impression of an open game from the opening minutes: both teams sought to impose their will with a fast-paced game and ball recovery. Although the home team started with greater aggression and took advantage of their home advantage to take the initiative, Disiclin Balonmano Lalin responded promptly and balanced the score for much of the first half.

The tie on the scoreboard was a constant until certain exclusions began to condition the rhythm. In that stretch, the team led by David Betancort knew how to get more out of the superiority situations, with actions that, at times, were unlocked by the offensive contribution of players like Javi Aragón, author of three consecutive goals that helped maintain pressure on the rival defense. Even so, Pablo Cacheda's team held on and reached halftime with a minimal disadvantage: 16–15.

The second half began with defensive adjustments and the influence of exclusions, which once again proved to be a decisive element. The home side, despite starting with some numerical disadvantage, found effective responses: goals from different positions and an outstanding performance in goal by Saúl Rodríguez, who made several saves of merit and allowed the team to open a small gap on the scoreboard.

When Disiclin Balonmano Lalin cut distances again and threatened to get back into the game, the local coach called a time-out to recompose the defense and reorganize ideas. With ten minutes left, the substitution in goal—with Santana replacing Saúl—proved effective: Santana regained the solvency shown and, together with a compact defense, facilitated the counterattack transition that ended up tilting the game in favor of the Titerroy team. The fast attacks and the management of the last minutes allowed the Lanzarote team to extend the advantage to the final result.

The 33-28 victory reinforces the good league start of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, which maintains a full record of victories and the status of co-leader. It was a hard-fought triumph, achieved thanks to the combination of timely interventions in the goal, good use of exclusions, and offensive resources in key moments. David Betancort's team will now turn its attention to its next match: the visit to Balonmano Ingenio, third classified with 10 points, a duel that seems important in the fight for the top of the table.
