Last Sunday, the awards ceremony of the Lanzarote Island Championship 2022 took place, as the grand finale of this event organized by the Las Palmas Automobile Federation, in which about 42 teams from Lanzarote participated throughout the past season.
This grand finale was held at the Agrotechnological Complex of Teguise, with the attendance of most of the award winners, other drivers and friends, as well as many family members of the protagonists of the event. The drivers' championship was won by Toñín Suárez and the co-drivers' championship by Jorge Cedrés, with Oliver Rodríguez and Aníbal Machín finishing in second and third position in the drivers' category, and David Rivero in second place and Elizabeth de la Iglesia in third place in the co-drivers' category. Around 30 awards were distributed for this championship, groups, categories and clubs.
The event was attended by the Councilor for Youth of Teguise, Sara Bermúdez; the acting president of the FALP, Miguel Angel Domínguez; the member of the FALP, Julia Betancort and representative of the CD. Manguia Motor Sport, together with the president of the CD. Evesport, Víctor Rodríguez, in a ceremony that was conducted by Vicente Travieso as head of communication of the FALP.
