Four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze for the Suhari club in two championships

The Lanzarote team participated with nineteen competitors in the Villa de Los Realejos Championship and the Canary Islands Master Championship

The Suhari club from Lanzarote participated with fourteen competitors in the XXV Los Realejos 2026 Villa Championship and with five competitors in the Canary Islands Master Championship

The competition, which took place last Sunday, May 17, began at 10:30 in the morning and lasted until almost 4:30 in the afternoon. The high level of the participants and the numerous registrations made both championships hard-fought and competitive in all their rounds.

Among the medals obtained, the Suhari club achieved the following:

 

Canary Islands Master Championship

  • Omar Moriano Champion Kata Master 2/3.
  • Dimas Viñoly Champion kumite Master 3 Open.
  • Omar Moriano Champion kumite Master 2 Open.

Los Realejos Villa Championship

  • Nagore Guerrero Champion Kumite Junior Open.
  • Marwa Bairouk Runner-up Kumite Junior Open.
  • Alexia Moriano Bronze Medal kumite Cadet -61/-67

The club also celebrated that referee Jimena Padilla was called up by the Federation to officiate in both championships.

The club also congratulated the "great work" of its coaches Alejandro González, Dimas Viñoly, and Omar Moriano, who have accompanied the team's athletes "at all times." Likewise, it recalled that the team is captained by Marco Guerrero, whom they acknowledge "always manages to bring out the best" in each player. 

The Suhari Club also expressed their gratitude for the attention and care of Miguel Salvador and Marta Cossio. To which they added the "fantastic work" of Bill Cabrera, portraying everyone and "making immortal with his photographs those moments that happen in an event of these characteristics." 

"Tremendous pride and satisfaction for the medalists and for those who could not meet their expectations, we encourage them to continue and fight for what they deserve," the team concluded in a statement.
