Club Deportivo ESNA Lanzarote has left its mark on the Regional Children's-Junior Championship held this weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. With a delegation of ten young promises, the team from Lanzarote experienced intense days full of emotion and great achievements, highlighting the spirit of overcoming and the impressive performance in the water.
The championship, which lasted for three days with up to six long competition sessions, was a real challenge for the swimmers. However, the athletes from ESNA Lanzarote demonstrated their preparation and resilience, managing to improve their personal bests in various events. The club is especially proud of the numerous occasions in which its swimmers took to the podium, consolidating the excellent training work they carry out.
Among the names that shone brightly, it is worth mentioning:
- Tania Herrera: won the gold medal in four events: 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle and 200 individual medley. In addition, she achieved the minimum for the Spanish Championship in the 400 freestyle.
- Asier González: obtained the silver medal in 100 freestyle and was proclaimed regional champion in 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle.
- Bianca Curletto: achieved a hat-trick of gold medals in 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. Her performance earned her recognition as Children's Champion in Aqua Points.
In addition to the medalists, the team was made up of other talented swimmers who contributed to the collective success and demonstrated great commitment: Catalina Rodríguez, Zoe Braun, Noa Lemes, Claudia Ortega, Victoria Lorenzo, Naiara González and Vlad Dascultu. All of them showed remarkable progress and an commendable team spirit.
Club ESNA Lanzarote would like to extend a special thanks to its "great fans": the parents of the club. Their unconditional support and their presence in the stands were, as always, a fundamental driving force for the athletes, inspiring them to give their best in each stroke.
