El Salitre del RNCA, absolute winner in the 'VII Arrecife to Agadir Regatta'

The Lanzarote boat Salitre by Felipe Brito has been the absolute winner of the 'VII Arrecife to Agadir Regatta'. The second place has also been for another Lanzarote sailboat, the 'Muyay' by Aureliano Negrín, both from the 'Real Club Náutico de Arrecife'. A test that started last Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. from Arrecife and after thirteen hours of waiting, the Salitre arrived at the Agadir Marina last Thursday.

The journey from Arrecife to Agadir was "hard as expected", although the "conditions improved" a lot as they approached Agadir, reports the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. In the absolute and ORC 1 and 2 classification, the classification is repeated with the triumph of Salitre (RCNA) followed by Muyay by Aureliano Negrín (RCNA) and Felipeva VI by Felipe del Rosario (RCNGC). In the ORC 3 to 4 class, Rogue Wave, Altamar I by Francisco Curbelo (RCNA) and Lanzarote Sailing Paradise (RCNA) escorted the podium.

In the ORC 3 to 4 class, the triumph was for the Rogue Wave by José Ignacio Cantero (RCNGC) after investing a time of 40:04:35. In the Open class, Atlantis III by Gregorio Bienes (La Palma) triumphed, entering the finish line at 12:08:06 this Thursday.

In the Open class, Duende finished second after the winner Atlantis III, only these two boats were able to complete the course in their class.

After the arrival of the boats, the Yacht Club D'Agadir offered all participants a sardine at its facilities. The events end on Saturday night with the awards ceremony.
