A new week of training begins this Monday for the Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife squad, preparing for next Saturday's clash against Bueu Atlético Balonmano and returning to the Pabellón Municipal de Titerroy after three consecutive away games. The week begins with coach David Betancort's decision to step down from the men's first team bench
David Betancort notified the Board of Directors of CB San José Obrero of his resignation as coach of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife. A decision that the club fully respects, understanding the reasons put forward by the coach for not continuing at the helm of the team competing in group A of the First National Male Handball League.
The San José Obrero Handball Club wishes to thank and acknowledge the professionalism and performance of David Betancort at Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, taking charge of training last summer and stepping up from the sports management after the team was left without a coach due to Samuel Trives's departure for family reasons.
David Betancort is a person who has grown and developed his entire sporting career at CB San José Obrero, and he will remain linked to the Titerroy club. The coach will be part of the San José Obrero Handball School, being an important part in the training of future generations of Lanzarote handball.
The Board of Directors of CB San José Obrero meets this Monday afternoon to study the situation of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, and above all, to look for the coach who will take charge of the men's team for the remainder of the season.
