CN Nadamas, the biggest winner of the XI Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup

Victory in the club standings, and individually several swimmers took the top spots on the podium

The Island Sports Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote officially closed the eleventh edition of the Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup with an event where the champions of the different categories were crowned. The Nadamas Swimming Club has once again been the great winner of this competition, with victories in the absolute category by the young athletes Herminio Fernández and Naira Jaén, and above all, with the first place achieved in the club standings. 

The Insular Center for Nautical Sports, in Marina Colón, hosted the awards ceremony for the XI Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup. An event that brought together the large CN Nadamas family, not only to collect the trophies accrediting their top positions in the standings, but also to support their fellow club members.

In the general classification, Herminio Fernández and Naira Jaén have been the great winners of the Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup this season, achieving victory with great dominance. Herminio took first place in the four races he participated in, and Naira achieved a perfect score with victories in all five events on the calendar. In the absolute category, Matías Padrón and Lily Gopar were the runners-up, and Nora Delgado secured third place.In the training categories, CN Nadamas also showed the good work of its swimmers and they took the top spots. Andrea Fraga took the victory in the benjamin category, Alexander Delgado was second, and Nahia Escudero third. In the alevin category, Katia Pérez and Juan José Ramos took the victory, Guize Betancor climbed to the second step of the podium, and Martina Martín and Echedey Cabrera took the bronze. And in the infant category, Nora Delgado was the champion and Nicolás Padrón and Besay Delgado shared the silver medal.

The juniors from CN Nadamas also took the top spots on the podium of the XI Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup. Naira Jaén and Herminio Fernández took first place in Junior 1, Natalia Sasu and Matías Padrón placed second, and Naira Pérez was third. And in the Junior 2 category, Lily Gopar took the victory. 

The great performance by the master swimmers of CN Nadamas should also be highlighted. Irineo Méndez (Adapted), Olga Tavío (Master F), and Carmen Guadalupe (Master G) were crowned champions. Javier Cabrera (Master A), Daniela Sixta Martín (Master C), and Roberta Bornaghi (Master E) qualified in second place. And Virginia Verónica Estévez (Master D), Estefanía Hernández (Master E), and Roberto Peraza (Master G) took home the bronze.

The great performance of Club Natación Nadamas in the Lanzarote Open Water Swimming Cup was completed in the club standings, taking the victory with a total of 2,084 points.
