Club La Santa has announced the birth of La Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote, a new competition scheduled for September 28 and 29, 2024. This will become the first race of its kind to tour the entire island.
According to the hotel chain, the event will have two stages that will pass through the seven municipalities of the island, ensuring the involvement of all seven city councils with parallel activities organized in each location.
The distance that cyclists will cover will be 180 kilometers: 110 in the queen stage of the first day, with 1,7000 meters of positive elevation gain, and 70 kilometers in the second stage, with 1,000 meters of positive elevation gain.
The race will also be included in the Cycling for All circuit of the International Cycling Union program, which promotes the use of bicycles in everyday life.
