El Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen and Bueu win on the first day of the cadet sector

Sector H of the Spanish Cadet Men's Championship kicked off on Friday afternoon, with two great handball matches and a magnificent atmosphere in the stands of the Teguise Municipal Pavilion, in Lanzarote. Serviauto Bueu Atlético Balonmano and Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen take the lead in the provisional standings, after winning on the opening day against Zasvisión Balonmano Laguna and Balonmano Maracena, respectively.

The competition began with the match between Zasvisión Balonmano Laguna and Serviauto Bueu Atlético Balonmano. The Galician team gradually opened up the gap on the scoreboard, going into halftime with a five-goal difference (16-21). A lead that increased in the second half, with Bueu ultimately winning by a margin of thirteen goals (32-45).

Alberto Fernández (13) and Pablo Arce (12) were the main protagonists of their team's victory, scoring 25 goals between them, but undoubtedly, the performance of the entire Serviauto Bueu Atlético Balonmano was a collective effort, with Marco Soliño and Diego Otero as the playmakers for their team.

The opening day continued with the duel between Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen and Balonmano Maracena, a match that was decided in favor of the hosts, who had the support of their fans filling one of the stands of the Teguise Municipal Pavilion. Chinijos extended their lead in the final minutes of the first half, going into halftime with a seven-goal advantage (24-17).

The difference was maintained for many minutes of the second half, with Balonmano Maracena getting within five goals and threatening the home team's lead. Physical fatigue took its toll on the Andalusians, and Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen took advantage to win 44 to 34. Samuel Gil (7), Daniel Betancor (6), and Cristian Toledo (6) were the top scorers for Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen, with outstanding saves also coming from goalkeeper Manuel Fiegl between the posts.

After the first day, Serviauto Bueu Atlético Balonmano and Chinijos Ortopedia Carmen are at the top of the standings, with the Galicians leading due to a greater goal difference. The two teams face each other this Saturday, starting at 5:30 PM in the Teguise Municipal Pavilion. The second match on Saturday will pit Zasvisión Balonmano Laguna against Balonmano Maracena, scheduled for 7:30 PM.
