The CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa shines in the Junior National with three Spanish titles and a bronze

The CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa closed its participation in the Spanish Summer Junior Championship with an outstanding record, the last major event on the national summer swimming calendar, held from July 23 to 26 at the Can Llong facilities in Sabadell. The Lanzarote club returned from one of the most demanding competitions on the national scene with three Spanish championship titles and one bronze medal, confirming the excellent moment its youth academy is going through.

The championship brought together the main promises of Spanish swimming for four days in a venue considered one of the great references in the sport. The competition gathered 216 clubs, 676 athletes, and representatives from 19 regional federations, mobilizing more than 1,500 people including swimmers, coaches, referees, companions, and members of the organization.

The representation of CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa consisted of swimmers Herminio Fernández Alperi and Naira Jaén Serra, who were accompanied by coach Ricardo Senra.

The most outstanding performance came from Herminio Fernández Alperi, who had an impeccable championship by becoming the Spanish champion of the 2008 generation in all the events in which he participated. The swimmer from the Costa Teguise team dominated the long-distance events with indisputable authority, winning the gold medal in the 400 meters freestyle after stopping the clock at 4:03.15, subsequently winning the 800 meters freestyle with a time of 8:18.82, and completing his extraordinary championship with a third national title in the 1,500 meters freestyle, where he clocked a time of 15:57.27.

This full sweep of victories confirms the athlete's progression and places him among the great national references in his category, further consolidating the work the club has been doing in training specialists in middle and long-distance events.

For her part, Naira Jaén Serra once again demonstrated her competitiveness among the best swimmers in the country. The CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa athlete participated in the 400 and 800 meters freestyle events, achieving high-level results. In the 400 meters freestyle, she finished in fourth position in the 2008 generation, with a time of 4:30.75, narrowly missing the podium after a very close race.

The reward came in the 800 meters freestyle, where Naira completed an excellent performance to take the bronze medal, thanks to a time of 9:15.46, thus confirming her competitive growth and her ability to compete at the highest national level.

The results obtained in Sabadell put the finishing touch to an intense season of national summer championships for CDN Nadamas Santa Rosa, which once again places the name of Lanzarote among the elite of Spanish swimming thanks to the joint work of athletes, technical staff, and families. The final balance, with three Spanish champion titles and one bronze medal, reflects the club's commitment to sports training and the development of young talents, consolidating a project that continues to grow and achieve success in major national competitions. These results are a source of pride for the entity and an incentive to continue working with an eye on the next sporting challenges of the 2026/2027 season.
