The promotion play-off to the Regional Preferente was decided on the Lanzarote side, with CD Tahíche being the team that achieved promotion after beating CD La Oliva. The Conejeros controlled the match at all times, facing a Majorero team lacking ideas in the elaboration of attacking plays. After the 1-1 draw in the first leg, Tahiche won by the minimum in the return leg. Moisés scored the goal of the victory and the promotion in the 66th minute of the match.
The first half of the match was marked by equality on the field. CD Tahíche was well positioned on the field, preventing La Oliva from feeling comfortable and getting dangerously close to the goal defended by Floro. It was the Majoreros who came close to danger in the 9th minute. A free kick taken from the left wing and headed by Marcelino at the far post, the ball going wide of the goal line.
In the 17th minute of the first half, CD Tahíche could have taken the lead. A cross from Samuel from the left wing was touched by defender Fer at the far post and was about to put the ball into his own net.
In the final stretch of the first half, CD Tahíche had another good chance to take the lead. The attacking play was started by Isaí, he combined with Moisés in the centre of the pitch, switched play for Asier to enter on the right, and Asier's control was too long, with goalkeeper Julio stopping the ball low down.
The second half started with a greater push from CD La Oliva. The Majoreros were not happy with a draw and had to go in search of victory. CD Tahíche continued to be well positioned on the pitch, leaving no gaps in defence.
CD Tahíche would take the lead in the 66th minute of the match, after a perfect counter-attack. The play was started by Isaí on the right wing, he went inside the area, passing for the arrival of Moisés who only had to push it into the back of the net under the posts.
CD La Oliva tried to react in the minutes remaining until the end of the match, although they showed themselves to be a team lacking ideas and unable to create danger on Floro's goal. CD Tahíche waited for their opponents at the back and went on the attack with a lot of speed. On the counter-attack, the locals could have sealed the win, but they were not accurate in the final metres.
With the final whistle, joy broke out on the pitch of the Municipal de Tahíche, with players, coaching staff and fans celebrating the return of CD Tahiche to the Regional Preferente. A promotion that comes 25 years and 4 days after the last match of the Lanzarote team in the Preferente.
