The young Caleb Padrón, from the Poliarrecife Karate Club, participated in the first day of the 'National Karate League 2024' of the RFEK, in the Benjamin, Alevín, Infantil and Juvenile categories. During the competition held in Ávila on February 3, the karateka competed in the 'Juvenile Male Kumite -42 kgs' category, finishing in fifth place in the category, among 49 competitors who participated.

Despite being his first participation in this age and weight category, he had a great performance, winning all his fights until the semifinals, falling in the round before the final against the competitor, who would eventually become champion of the category, belonging to the Madrid club Kyodai Karate Galán, not having luck in his fight for the bronze in a very balanced fight against the competitor of the Catalan Club Karate Just, participating competitors in it.

This result places Caleb Padrón in an advantageous position for his classification to the 'Grand Final of the LNK', for which only the eight best competitors in Spain in each category qualify. A competition that will be held in Galicia, next December, which must be certified in the second day of its category to be held in November, in Tarragona.

Among the most immediate objectives of the Lanzarote karateka are the 'Canary Islands Championship' in March, his first participation in international competition in the 'WKF K1 Youth League', which will be held in A Coruña next May and, of course, work hard to be able to integrate the 'Canary Karate' team that will participate in the next Spanish Championship, which will take place in April, in Guadalajara.
