The boat skippered by Pedro de León took the victory in the three races of the final day

The III Auditax Winter Series J80 Lanzarote concluded last weekend with the dispute of the last day of competition for the J80 class. The event brought together several boats from the island fleet, in a decisive day held on Saturday in the Playa Quemada area.

The final day consisted of three races that took place under conditions of intense wind and with continuous changes in direction, circumstances that marked the development of the tests and forced the crews to maintain very technical navigation throughout the course.

El Brito Hostelería arrived at this final event as the leader of the general classification and confirmed its first position after winning all three races disputed. With these results, the boat helmed by Pedro de León closed the regular competition with a total of 24 points and was proclaimed winner of the III Auditax Winter Series J80 Lanzarote.

The second position in the general classification went to Tomopomo, which managed to finish second in the first and third regatta of the day. Miguel Ángel Naverán's boat finished the championship with 39 points.

For its part, the Lanzarote Sailing Paradise of Alejandro Morales completed the final podium of the competition. Its best partial result came in the second race on Saturday, in which it achieved the second position. It finished the general classification with 55 points. Also noteworthy was the participation of El Mateo of Alfredo Morales, which obtained third place in the three races held during the final day, results that allowed it to conclude fourth in the general classification of the championship.

Once the competition in the water concluded, the crews carried out the collection of boats and material before participating in the trophy ceremony held at the Código Cero facilities, in Puerto Calero. During the event, several raffles were also held among the participants and a closing meal in which sailors and the organization shared the experiences lived throughout the competition.

The III Auditax Winter Series J80 Lanzarote has been held thanks to the support and collaboration of the Yaiza City Council and Auditax, entities that have backed the development of this sailing competition in Lanzarote. The conclusion of this edition marks the end of a new season of J80 class regattas on the island, consolidating this event within the local sports calendar.
