The XVI Armada de Cruceros Trophy was held this weekend, one of the most emblematic nautical events on the regional calendar, a scoring event for the Canary Islands Cruisers Cup. The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife had the participation of Nano Negrín's Muyay, achieving two great days of competition, conquering the victory in the ORC 1-3 category.
The Armada de Cruceros Trophy took place in the bay of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, organized by the Naval Regatta Commission of the Navy in the Canary Islands, the technical support of the RCNGC and the collaboration of the Royal Canarian Sailing Federation and the General Directorate of Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands. The weather conditions were optimal for the development of the regattas, with sustained north winds between 12 and 16 knots.
Nano Negrín's Muyay showed great consistency throughout the two days of regattas, placing itself in the top positions in the three races held over the weekend. The boat of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife began the Armada Trophy adding a meritorious second place, among the 16 participating boats, and was fourth and sixth in the remaining two races.
These results allowed Muyay to achieve victory in the ORC 1-3 category. The boat of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife had a crew in the Armada de Cruceros Trophy consisting of Aureliano Negrín Hernández, Celia Negrín Arbona, Valeria Negrín Arbona, Ana De Ángel, Inés Martín, José Antonio Trujillo and Saúl Hernández.
