The first edition of the Tías Bike Race 2026 ended with a resounding organizational and sporting success, bringing mountain biking back to the municipality of Tías and bringing together riders from all over the Canary Islands archipelago in a day marked by emotion, spectacle, and a large public turnout.

On Sunday morning, the streets and roads of the municipality became a true tide of cyclists and fans who did not want to miss the return of MTB to a pioneering town in the organization of cycling events. The demanding route designed by the organization offered unprecedented images of popular support at numerous points along the course, with the entire competition taking place without incident.

In the men's category, the victory went to Antonio Padrón, from the Velosa Cycling Club, who made his intentions clear from the first kilometers by setting a strong pace that his rivals could not counter. The men's absolute podium was completed by Cristian Cejas, from C.D. Latitud 29, in second place, and Alexander Hernández, from C.D. El Aljibe, third in the general classification.

For her part, the women's category had a clear dominator in Tessa Kortekaas, from the MASSI Bikes team, who once again demonstrated her enormous competitive level. The cyclist also achieved a spectacular fourth absolute position in the general classification, even riding alongside the best male riders for a large part of the race. The women's podium was completed by Luz Marina Munguía, from C.D. Tridan, in second place, and Nilda Mariela Báez, from C.D. Latitud 29, in third place.

The race offered exciting moments from start to finish, with an intense fight in all categories and a very high competitive level, especially in the men's Master 30, Master 40, and Master 50 categories.

From CDA Sport, we want to especially thank the collaboration of the Tías City Council, and in particular the Department of Sports, for the support provided to an event that is born with the intention of continuity and has left a magnificent image within the events of the San Antonio festivities.
