On Sunday, October 22, the Canary Islands Karate Championship was held at the Islas Canarias Pavilion in La Laguna (Tenerife) in the Cadet, Junior and Sub21 categories, in which the young karateka from the Arrecife Club participated in the Female Cadet Kata and Female Cadet Kumite -54 kg categories.
The karateka from the Karate Poliarrecife club obtained two gold medals, being proclaimed Champion of the Canary Islands in both modalities. It is undoubtedly a very important achievement, as it is not easy for a karateka to reach such a high level in both kata and kumite. Another achievement in Amelie's career, who in recent years has been reaping medals at the regional, national and international levels.
She still has important dates on her agenda for the rest of the year. Thus, the Adeje Championship in November, and the Pepe Pérez Trophy in December, as regional events, a possible participation in the Spanish Championship, to be held in Albacete in November, if she is selected by the Canary Islands Karate Federation among the island karatekas who will represent the Canary Islands in it, and the last day of the year of the Youth League of the World Karate Federation, which will be held in Venice in December, in which Amelie Skiba will participate in Kata and Kumite.

The Club was also represented at the Canary Islands Championship by Juan Nicolás Lasso, as a coach, as well as by the referees Jeremías Lasso and Mark García.
