CB San José Obrero activated the established protocol after learning of a positive case of COVID-19 in its squad, suspending scheduled training sessions and isolating the players and members of the coaching staff in their respective homes. Throughout Friday, they underwent PCR tests by the Health Department, with all the medical tests that have been carried out being negative.

Like the person affected by COVID-19, asymptomatic and in good health, all members of the CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife squad must remain isolated in their homes at least until January 15. From that date they must pass a second PCR test and if they are negative again they can end the quarantine.
The National Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation has decreed the suspension of the match that Super Amara Bera Bera and CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife were due to play next Saturday, January 16, corresponding to the 8th round of group A of the Guerreras Iberdrola League. The Basque team has also notified three positive cases of COVID-19 in its squad.
