A few days after his promotion to the UEFA First category was announced, the Lanzarote referee Alejandro Hernández Hernández stars in another pleasant piece of news, his designation as VAR for the Champions League semi-final to be played this Wednesday at the José Alvalade stadium in the Portuguese city of Lisbon with the French Olympique de Lyon and the German Bayern Munich as protagonists.
The island referee will be part of the refereeing team led by the Spaniard Antonio Mateu Lahoz, designated as the main referee and who will be accompanied by Pau Cebrián Devis (first assistant) and Roberto Díaz Pérez del Palomar (second assistant) and Carlos del Cerro Grande (fourth referee).
